Our Mission

The Mission of Berean Baptist Church 

To maintain public services for the worship of God in the name of Jesus Christ. 

Inspired by the Holy Spirit we seek to be strengthened in love and to gain an understanding of God's will and our faith traditions. 

Through fellowship, communion, and the sharing of our lives, we intend to develop a sense of duty and commitment toward service to God and neighbor, and to promote the interests of the Kingdom of God according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

 

Who We Are

 Acts 17:10-12

As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea . On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Paul and Silas went to Berea because of the eagerness of the Berean disciples to receive the Gospel and to examine the scriptures.  For 134 years disciples have gathered at Berean Baptist Church in eagerly receiving and living the Good News of Jesus Christ.  We still meet today, a family ranging in age from 2 to 92, of various denominational backgrounds, because we are excited about living for Christ in the 21st Century.

 Our worship strives to uphold Baptist tradition as well as to be open to the new things that the Holy Spirit has in store for God's joyful people.  We sing, we laugh, we talk to one another, we pray and share and sit in silence.  Above all, as Jesus welcomed all to his table, we strive to welcome all into our church home, hoping that you will experience God's love joyfully.
